Who we are

SP3 Services is a wholly owned Irish company specialising in IT governance and management consulting with diverse experience assessing and implementing best practice IT management across a variety of industry sectors. We are vendor independent and do not have bias towards any specific applications or technologies. Our team are experienced IT Managers certified in a wide range of IT practice including COBIT for audit and control, ITIL® for IT Service Management, PRINCE2™ and PMBOK® for Project Management and ISO20000 and ISO27000 for clients seeking external certification of IT arrangements. We pride ourselves on the pragmatic application of best practice, which ensures practical IT management solutions tailored to each organisation’s needs.


What we do

We engage with our clients in a broad range of roles, depending on their requirements.

• We provide IT Steering services, advising business and senior IT stakeholders on strategy and providing oversight of IT for smaller organisations.

• We perform reviews of IT organisations, recommending improvements in governance and service management. Reviews can be broad ranging encompassing the overall environment or tailored to specific aspects of management e.g. Service Desk optimisation, Change optimisation, IT Service Continuity (Disaster Recovery), Supplier Management, Customer Relationship Management and many more.

• We perform reviews to assess compliance / readiness for audits, including general audit requirements, Central Bank audit, ISO20000 audit, ISO27000 audit and Sarbanes Oxley audits.

• We perform IT Due Diligence reviews assessing the risks and investment requirements for IT.

• We assist clients in the implementation of pre and post audit remediation.

• We manage IT projects utilising client and external resources to deliver IT outcomes. Depending on client requirements we can leverage our own best practice Project Management methodology or use the client’s methodology.

• We provide IT resources to backfill short or long-term resource requirements for operational management of IT.

• We deliver client specific training related to service management, project management and IT management tools.



Bill Heffernan
Bill Heffernan has over 20 years of experience in the IT Service Management consulting and training field. He holds a Masters in Service Management, is an ITIL® V2 and V3 Expert, an ISO20000 and PRINCE2® Practitioner and an accredited APMG trainer. Bill believes that IT services should address all aspects of IT management, including service, program, project and product management, and that the focus should be on establishing a capability to measure and justify all IT investment in the context of real business value.

Kevin O'Reilly is a senior IT executive with 20 years experience in the IT industry. Kevin's expertise aligns the IT organisation and business functions to deliver commercial outcomes based on a system of shared values and agreed business outcomes.
Marakesh Busby
Operations Manager
Marakesh Busby is a Project and Business Manager with over 10 years of experience in Supply Chain and IT Service Management with a focus on business process design and optimisation. She has worked across multiple geographies in both large and small organisations and is result driven and highly productive. Marakesh manages our internal operations and our customer & supplier relationships.
Stephen Whyte
Senior Consultant
Stephen Whyte is an organised, reliable, supportive, diplomatic IT Project Manager with 17 years of IT experience. He has successfully delivered over 80 projects, from design to implementation in the last 10 years. He has consistently demonstrated the Project Management skills required to deliver projects on time, under budget, while meeting business objectives. PMP certified, he has a fair and flexible management approach, with an eye for detail.
Graham Hyland
Senior Consultant
Graham is a confident and energetic IT Services Manager with over 20 years of experience in IT & infrastructure. He has the proven ability to drive and implement system enhancements and cost savings. Graham is result driven and blends his technical expertise with hands-on business management experience. He is an excellent communicator and has extensive experience managing supplier and client management relationships. Graham has PRINCE2 and ITIL certifications.
